Individual Therapy with Bella

Welcome to Flow State! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH22581) and Board-Certified Art Therapist in Central Florida with a passion for helping women go from survival mode to a sense of connection, relief, and alignment. My integrative approach allows me to thoughtfully combine evidence-based practices and creativity, tailoring each session to your individual experiences, strengths, and goals. I operate from a strengths-based and relational approach and believe that showing up authentically allows my clients to do the same.

In the therapy room, nothing is off limits. I want my clients to feel safe to explore and express topics and emotions without fear of judgement. This is your space to unmask and re-connect with yourself.

As a relational therapist, I show up as a human first. I may laugh along with your dark humor, say yes to seeing the screenshots, or doodle alongside you if that's what makes you feel comfortable.

As we establish trust in the therapeutic relationship, I will begin to gently challenge you in ways that support your growth and progress. Ultimately, our work together is guided by collaboration, compassion, and a commitment to finding what best supports your healing.

Anxiety

When you're responsible for caring for others, it can feel impossible to turn your own mind off. If you're constantly overthinking, anticipating worst-case scenarios, or feeling like you have to stay "on" all the time, anxiety can take a toll on every part of your life. Therapy can help you quiet the mental noise, feel more grounded, and reconnect with a sense of calm.

Perfectionism

You hold yourself to incredibly high standards, but no matter how much you accomplish, it never feels like enough. Perfectionism often creates constant pressure, self-criticism, and fear of making mistakes. Therapy can help you let go of impossible expectations, embrace progress over perfection, and find confidence without constantly proving your worth.

People Pleasing

You spend your days helping others—but somewhere along the way, your own needs may have fallen to the bottom of the list. If saying "no" fills you with guilt or your self-worth depends on keeping everyone else happy, you're not alone. Together, we'll help you build healthier boundaries, trust your own voice, and care for yourself with the same compassion you offer everyone else.

Identity

When you've spent so much of your life caring for others, it's easy to lose sight of who you are outside of your role. Maybe your career has become your identity, or perhaps life transitions, motherhood, burnout, or constant caregiving have left you wondering what you want anymore. Therapy can help you reconnect with yourself, rediscover what matters to you, and build a life that feels authentic.

Specialties

Burnout

You entered your work because you care deeply—but constantly giving to others without enough support can leave you emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausted. Burnout isn't simply being tired; it's feeling depleted and disconnected from yourself. Therapy can help you recover your energy, establish sustainable boundaries, and rediscover a life that feels fulfilling beyond your work.

Grief & Loss

Grief isn't limited to losing a loved one. It can come from losing a relationship, a dream, your health, or the version of yourself you once knew. There is no "right" way to grieve, and you don't have to carry it alone. Together, we'll make space for your loss while helping you find hope and healing at your own pace.

Trauma & Healing

Sometimes the experiences that shape us continue to affect us long after they're over. Whether you've experienced workplace trauma, childhood experiences, medical trauma, or chronic stress, you may feel stuck in survival mode without fully understanding why. Therapy offers a safe space to process what you've been carrying so you can move from surviving to truly living.

What does an initial session look like?

In the first session, my goal is to get to know you and learn about your lived experiences. I always tell new clients that we can stay in the shallow end or dive a bit deeper, if that's something you're ready for or comfortable with. Most often, I will ask open-ended questions about your work, support system, hobbies or interests, and presenting concerns. There's always the option to sprinkle in some creativity in that first session, and my ultimate goal is to make the space feel as warm & inviting as possible.

How can creativity be incorporated?

As a creative human and Board-Certified Art Therapist, I often integrate creative expression into the therapy room if it's something you're open to. Artmaking can be utilized as a tool for deeper insight, clarity, problem solving, and coping, and it is not required that you have any sort of artistic skill.
